I started as a Field Engineer in September 2004: installations of Belgacom telephony, ISDN and ADSL, Tele2 and Versatel. In October 2004 I was hired permanently at ESAS. After one year in the field I started looking for new challenges and made it known within ESAS that being a bachelor electronics-ICT I was more interested in IT- related projects. Therefore I was deployed as back-up at Exxon Mobil, amongst others, and participated in a roll out project at Digipolis.
Afterwards I had the chance to move to an internal job at Dispatching. This mainly concerned the calling and planning of customers for Tele2, Versatel, United Telecom, and so on. Because of the growing number of projects and the corresponding follow-up I was deployed to steer the project teams. Subsequently I became Project Assistant. After a while I steered the project teams completely independently and created the corresponding reporting. So it was time to take trainings allowing me to promote to Project Manager. The creation of quotations and calculation models was also part of my tasks and in this function I got into contact with our customers, on a managerial level as well. Also now it was time to take additional management and communication trainings to go to the next step in my career.
At the end of 2009 I had the opportunity to promote to an account management function that I still keep. 2010 was a difficult but interesting year, because there was a lot to learn on a professional level.
